the lore drops. fucking impeccable. but also i feel edged the fuck on. like we learned a liiiiiiiitle but also get 10 thousand unanswered questions as well

the quest itself. can we even call that a quest it was so anticlimatic ajkdfladjsf like just content-wise i think that genuinely might have been our worst dainsleif quest the lore was CARRYING this shit and all we got was more questions and it felt SO short

hiihii sleepless!!!!!!!!! any thoughts on the way the key concepts in mostly every (because i was. really not conscious during the inazuma) region's archon quests so far have had one or more of their key concepts encompass a KEY endgame-esc lore concept in one way or another>>??

hihihiii ok I love this question sm lets see (also so sorry for the long delay I've been really busy with stuff lately :'D )

Mondstadt: it WAS the first ever quest in game so I think we spent it learning about how the rest of genshin is gonna be more than anything. But if I had to point out a few 'hmmmm' moments:

1- wtf was the abyss order trying to do in controling a corrupted dvalin exactly? We're told they're trying to use him for their evil plans and then that they had plans to 'utilize him' in the trailer with lumine riding a ruin guard. I mean it all traces back to the loom of fate obv but I've been curious to know what that specific part of the plan was about. Anything to do with dvalin is suspicious to me bcz durin.

2- the entire conversation we had with venti at the end of the archon quest. The whole talk about allogenes and how they can acsend to godhood, the fact that venti and the cryo archon used to be on good terms but now havent spoken for centuries, etc etc honestly when in doubt just go watch that part again it gets the brain gears rolling.

3- the fact that an archon's power comes from the number of people believing in them.

Liyue: ngl the liyue quest was so boring to me I was half asleep while doing it so I might've missed some stuff BUT

1- the very end of the quest and the contract zhongli signed. I know that archons dont exactly love their gnoses and would probably trade it for a jolly rancher if given the chance BUT the trader was still a fatui harbinger and if zhongli's even a quarter as smart as nahida is he would ask for something beneficial in return. So yeah I rlly wanna know what the contents of that contract were I think it will be important going onward.

2- the fact that zhongli did ALL THAT just because he wanted to free his people from his reign retire and wanted to make sure they were ready for it is really telling. Time and time again we see how much archons themselves hate celestia and the system they've created. In the latest fontaine aq we even saw the lenghts some of them are willing to go to for destroying this system and I have no doubt this is going to mean something big in the future. (i mean keep in mind we have THREE godless nations now. Mond, liyue and fontaine archons all set their people free. As much as I love to meme abt archons vs khaenri'ah you have to give credit where credit is due.)

(It actually becomes key concepts from here instead of things I have questions about bear with me)

Inazuma:

1- VISION BEARERS LOSE THEIR MINDS WHEN YOU TAKE THEIR VISION!!!! the explanation inazuma aq offered was that its because visions are directly linked to a person's ambition, lose your vision = lose your ambition etc etc BUT DID ANYONE REALLY BUY THAT??? also if that's the case what about the few cases of people who lost their vision but were perfectly fine still????? Itto???? That one guy in the tea house who even says it was as if a huge weight had been lifted off his shoulder?????? The granny in wangshu inn???? Visions are getting more suspicious with every new aq.

2- delusions take away from their user's lifespan (not that It matters for any of the harbinger's other than childe and regular fatui soldiers so probably not as important as the vision thing but yk)

3- honestly the whole concept of eternity and time (which we got to explore more in ei's second sq) "eternity is the closest thing to the heavenly principles" what do you mean raiden. What did you mean by that. Dont even get me started on the whole pocket dimensions thing and how time flows diffrently in diffrent corners of teyvat. The fact that the future affects the past more than the past affects the future. Everything is litterally upside down.

Sumeru: every line that was said in the sumeru archon quest ever.

1- Descenders exist. And they are not affected by irminsul changes. Speaking of which,

2- I CANNOT STRESS HOW IMPORTANT THIS IS AND HOW MANY THINGS IT MEANS FOR THE LORE!!! IRMINSUL CAN BE WIPED OF CERTAIN INFORMATION! AND THE ONLY WAY TO MAINTAIN THAT INFORMATION IS TO WRITE IT IN THE FORM OF A STORY! A FAIRYTALE! LOOK IN YOUR ARCHIVE PEOPLE! LOOK AT THE BOOKS! READ ANYTHING ANDERSDOTTIR HAS WRITTEN! READ THE PALE PRINCESS AND THE SIX PYGMIES!!!! READ THE FLOWERS FOR PRINCESS FISCHL!!! READ THE BOAR PRINCESS!!! READ THE MOONLIT BAMBOO FOREST!!!! GRARRAGAGAGGA

3- our twin is somehow native to teyvat (not a descender) while we are not. This is very much smelling of someone having messed with irminsul information. Either they wrote our twin into the irminsul files or they removed us. I used to lean towards the second one but after perinheri and learning khaenri'ahns welcomed people from outside teyvat im not so sure.

4- the entire forbidden knowledge and king deshret plotline. (King deshret/king irmin/nibelung parallels drive me insane on a daily basis. The fact that people affected by forbidden knowledge develop SCALES on their bodies literally do I need to say more.)

5- dreams are a seperate realm in teyvat. I dont see people talk about this enough despite how important the concept of dreams is in this game.

6- forget about information PEOPLE can be wiped off irminsul. Thats fucking terrifying. They cant wipe themselves but if a powerful enough person (ahem hexenzirkel ahem ahem dainsleif ahem) decides you shouldn't exist anymore you just...dont.

7- teyvat samsara cycle/ time loop confirmed. This is litterally a 500k word theory post of its own so imma just leave it there for now.

8- COLLECTIVE CONSCIOUSNESS!!! THE ENTIRE IRMINSUL COULD BE A COLLECTIVE CONCIOUSNESS!!! TEYVAT COULD BE A COLLECTIVE CONSIOUSNESS FOR ALL WE KNOW!!!

9- nahida wanted to get rid of the gnoses on her hands especially the electro one. Keep this in mind for the fontaine list.

10- sustainer of heavenly principles has been inactive since khaenri'ah. Hmmmmm

Fontaine: aka the only god khaenri'ahns pray to is focalors.

1- focalors my lovely lovely woman. We dont have a hydro archon anymore that is insane. Seven archons and only two of them are actively moving against celestia smh. (Also is it the six now instead of the seven?)

2- GNOSES ARE THE REMAINS OF THE THIRD DESCENDER!!!!! WDYM!!!!! CELESTIA REALLY STOLE A DESCENDERS CORPSE AND STOLE THE DRAGON'S POWERS AND MADE LITTLE BATTERIES FOR THEIR ARCHONS. WHO EVEN IS THE THIRD DESCENDERS

3- TWICE now gnoses have been said to "cause problems" if they remain where they are and so they are handed over to the fatui. The second time could've been excused as neuvillette not wanting a celestia device near him if it werent for the first time with nahida. What kind of problems are we talking abt here?

4- heavenly principles inactivity further proven by the fact that one of their archons TRICKED THEM FOR 500 YEARS, KILLED HERSELF, DESTROYED ONE OF THE SEVEN THRONES, HANDED THE POWER BACK TO A DRAGON SOVEREIGN and nothing happened. Are they dead? Like actually?

5- dragon sovereigns can be reborn/ have descenders. Nibelung/ irmi- *gunshot*

6- this was said in the sumeru interlude chapter also (or was it wanderer's sq I dont remember) the fact that you cant change fate, but CAN change how it affects the world.

4. How did Durge come to be? Why them? Was it a vibe you tried to capture or a specific visual you wanted to represent? Did you borrow them from previous works or were they handcrafted for this story you have in mind?

I went in blind as an Oath of the Ancients Paladin (lol). Never played a BG game before. I knew the gist of The Urge mechanic and that I wanted to resist it, but it wasn't supposed to be a main playthrough.

But then Alfira happened, and I met the Oathbreaker Knight - who had apparently met me several times before - I fell in love with the concept of a good person who was cursed to be evil against their will, and all the trauma that comes with.

The vibe was how dark a heart can become when forced to withdraw from the light. The self destructive ways we insulate ourselves from feeling anything too deeply. The fear of being seen for what we are, balanced against the dread of being alone. How we rationalize our own sins to live with ourselves, and how twisted our sense of reason can become when subjected to horrific realities.

When I feel the weight of my part in climate change/capitalism/systemic racism/etc, it's easy to just be a snowflake in an avalanche. The power I have to vote, boycott, protest, etc feels almost meaningless in the face of the pure scale at which evil exists.

I wanted Durge to feel that small, yet remain single-mindedly possessed by the power to end it all.

She rages against something she knows is there but can't fight without turning inward. It was a bit of a study in environmental factors, comparing her character before and after the tadpole. Pre-amnesia, she probably blamed life itself for The Urge, believing that peace was possibly only when there was nothing left to trigger violence. Post-amnesia, she is forced to unpack all of that around the campfire and can begin to heal.

9. How much did Bhaal influence their design or personality in the end? Did you research lore to purposefully get the resemblance or do you just go with the flow and what feels right for the story you want to tell?

I stopped playing the game for months to figure out how Bhaal's "divine parthenogenesis" supposedly worked while he was dead, how his temple functioned prior to Returning Day, what caused Viekang to suddenly murder his brother, etc. It was a mess, but I wrote a thing, and it made sense at the time.

Bhaal crafted Durge from his corpse floating in the Astral Plane and the essence of his botched rebirth, which was supposedly locked away in Mt Celestia after the events of the previous games. I blamed the Spellplague for releasing it into the Astral. There it was seized by his vestige, infecting the mind of a murderer with the heart of a savior (like Withers' line in Act 3).

Bhaal wasn't happy about his miracle child's Divine Soul sorcery, but beggars can't be choosers. He grooms her to supress it and train in other professions instead. However, he takes advantage of her ability to love him the way truly evil spawn never will. She was destined to be the perfect, loyal daughter; a foil to all the ambitious servants who failed him.

She's a sweet faced Tiefling bard. Has her father's Netherese features. She favors illusion, enchantment and divination spells to get inside people's heads. She effectively bluffs Bhaal back into power by sowing fear of his return, and portenting doom to any who don't aid that end (a Spirit Bard's take on Pascal's Wager).

In her younger years, she unleashes Creepy Little Girl nightmare fuel against Cyricists and sex predators to meet Dad's death quotas guilt-free.

She gradually extended the treatment to people she doesn't like, which steadily grew to the population of Toril. She failed to notice the shift from "necessary evil" to "evil necessarily".

However, a small remnant of her Divine Soul hibernates, restless and disembodied. It occasionally lashes out and tosses coins to beggars, or shows mercy to the Chosen of her father's sworn foe.

Suffice to say it's all Jergal's doing. He's involved in everything and too many tabs were opened. "What is the worth of a single mortal life?" sounds like a question he and Dark Urge have both done terrible things to get answers to.

I needed Dark Urge to experience spiritual conflict over something bigger than Bhaal, more akin to nihilism or fatalism, to untwist some deeper rooted issues and explore Jergal's character growth as well, as a once-BBEG who is now a Neutral servant to Kelemvor. Like, 'stop murdering people' is a great first step, but 'cherish life even when it seems fleeting and hopeless and you have no answers' is the goal here.

Update on my Mystreet binge {Spoilers for season 5, Starlight}

WOOOO.

I remembered most of this season after all! I actually stopped watching shortly after the engagement episode. Right before Derek {Aaron's father} spilled all the secrets to Melissa {A's sister}.

I really did miss the BIG reveals and the downhill roller coaster that is Angel's fall. With this season's finally, I'm terrified of season 6. Only hearing that its.. chaotic to say the least.

Most of the episodes were great. I found myself feeling embarrassed about the whole "alpha" spiel. But that's more due to how the word is used now-a-days that made me cringe in a bad way. Idk where the whole Maria plot was going, thought she was going to try to cause a rift between the main couple?

I loved the cute moments this season! The bonding with Aaron and Aphmau seemed more chill than over the top lovey dovey stuff. They are cute without the pressure of appearing cute. Unlike Travis and Katelyn, which was a great constrast and gave a few giggles. Still find it a bit creepy that EVERYONE is so into their relationship. But rather that than the guys hoping for their downfall just to get Aph. Sylvanna telling her daughter that becoming a werewolf "just because" was disrespectful towards the culture explained why I was so off put by it. Still, think the whole try not to compare Aaron to a dog was funny. {but where did Celestia go? She was there day one then vanished...??}

I also loved Zane and Nana's relationship.. for the most part. I like that Nana was pushy with it while Zane wanted to take things slow. I'm just surprised that he let a lot go by in the name of not rocking the boat. The whole accidental cheating with the brother plot.. it's one of those scenes you know it happened but happily skipped over a bit to save yourself the second-hand embarrassment. Their kiss {while later on said it was just to keep him interested} was adorable! I feel like it was just the way Nana would confess her feelings. And with Zane? He might not have taken the hint otherwise. Garroth's "about time" response to the news was perfect. It showed that he had improved on keeping his baby brother's feelings in mind.. so much so that he noticed the chemistry between him and Nana before they did!

The proposal was also nice. We all knew it was coming, but it still felt special. Only a bit sad that their announcement to his parents didn't go as planned. Especially with Garroth getting snipped. Poor dude can't catch a break. Experimented on when young {which might explain why Garte favors him}, ladies ran from him, and now he's bedridden because.. as Zane would put it .. he's a boob( ╥ω╥ )

Rant: I really hate the 2B jokes surrounding characters like Kirumi. Not just her, but also characters like Celestia, Mukuro, Keebo, and perhaps even Peko and Maki. I’m not gonna get into too much detail as to why I don’t like Nier, but let’s just say I failed to see the big deal about that game. Not only am I annoyed with its popularity, but I’m also annoyed with the memes surrounding it. The meme being that you take a character from a different series and dress them up as 2B. It’s become so obnoxious for me that I have no reason to take interest in that game because 2B just looks like a freak and her popularity makes my blood boil.

The irony of it all, is that not only am I not into the gothic subculture, but this meme seems to have an effect on characters who just so happen to be my favorite characters. These are just some examples, Aigis (Persona 3) Iroha (Samurai Shodown) Neptune (Neptunia) possibly Hikage (Senran Kagura) and Angel (King of Fighters). The list goes on and on but I’ll leave it with just these. The point is, I love these characters and yet, Nier is super overrated, so this meme is ruining these characters and how I feel about them, and I don’t want the same thing to happen with the Danganronpa cast.

I’m gonna be honest, when I first met Kirumi, 2B wasn’t what came to mind because I didn’t want to project that meme onto her. Instead, the Touhou maid Sakuya Izayoi is what came to mind. When I thought about it at the time, it felt like Kirumi had all the same qualities as Sakuya. I never saw Kirumi as this gothic, obedient, robot girl with a fucking blindfold, I saw Kirumi for her beauty, elegance, perfection, knowledge, and kindness. Perfect and Elegant Maid is Sakuya’s title in PoFV, so I wanted to think that Kirumi was on par with how perfect Sakuya is and the two of them would make a great match. The sad part about it is that I’ve never met anyone in the Danganronpa fandom who is also a Touhou fan, not to mention, compared to how underrated Kirumi is, Sakuya is a fan favorite in the Touhou fandom. In my experience, I’ve never seen anyone in the Touhou fandom pull this meme off on Sakuya, and frankly, I don’t want to see her like that.

I’m probably a hypocrite for having Kirumi as a favorite Danganronpa character despite the fact that I don’t like Nier. Is it wrong for me to like Kirumi? Should I let her go? No! I literally cried when I saw Kirumi die, and I’ll cry again if I watch her die again. But why do I feel that way? Why would I cry over her death if someone is gonna dress her up as a character I hate from a series I’m not into? Do I think Kirumi deserves better and that she shouldn’t be treated so badly? Kirumi is a comfort character for me because I love her kindness and perfection. If I let her go, people are gonna forget about her due to her death and I don’t want to forget about her. Crazy thing is, watching Kirumi die would be a way to counterbalance this meme, but is that really a good way to deal with it?

If you’ve read my blog on why I don’t like Ibuki, I wrote that I’m always anxious around her because I hate her music. Funny thing is, it’s the same thing with Kirumi. Every time I try to search for fanart or other things in the Danganronpa fandom involving Kirumi, I get the same anxious feeling I get when Ibuki is involved, because in Kirumi’s case, I don’t want to see anything 2B related because that’s just gonna ruin how I feel about her.

Likewise, I love Kirumi, and yet I hate 2B. Isn’t it ironic? If I love Kirumi despite what fans are doing to her, would it be okay for me to actually like Ibuki despite the fact that I hate her music? If you’ve been to my AO3, is it wrong for me to write fanfics about Kirumi, or even Ibuki? I remember a year and a half ago when I first got into the series’ fandom, I had a nightmare about Kirumi getting dressed as you know who. In the nightmare, I got down on my knees with my hands on my head and kept repeating to myself, “No no no! It’s not true! It’s not true!” Because I didn’t want anyone in the fandom to treat her like that.

As for the other characters I mentioned in the beginning,

Celestia I like since we have a few things in common, such as eating issues and getting upset when people provoke us. And as I said, I’m not big on gothic themes, but I still like her. Is that wrong?

I like Mukuro because I think her freckles are cool, and I even like her when she’s dressed as Junko.

I like Keebo because his “That’s robophobic” quote is just hilarious. If it were up to me, I’d headcanon Keebo as someone who gets offended by the Nier meme if someone made him look like 2B.

I like Peko because of how badass she is, and would love it if there was an action beat ‘em up game that had Peko playable.

I like Maki because she reminded me of Senran Kagura character Ryoubi, appearance wise I mean. Given that I like Senran Kagura, don’t say this wouldn’t be different from Kirumi looking like you know who because I don’t like Nier.

I really don’t want this meme to ruin my life or ruin my views on my favorite Danganronpa characters. You’ll probably argue that it’s no different from the Rantaro avocado meme, but I personally think Kirumi and the other characters shouldn’t be treated like this. The 2B look-a-like meme is just overrated at this point. If I do see it happen again, it might very well break my heart.

Its a mlp x Jackbox+ ydkj where yes, its just mlp but with a bunch of idiots. Here's just 9 of the cast ponies.

Nate sharpio, as twilight sparkle: He's the smartest out of the mane 6, and has the most brain cells. Originally, this role was gonna go to cookie, but that be dumb of me. The element of magic, he has enough wisdom to think the worst is gonna happen. To reflect similarities, he's gonna be a unicorn turned alicorn.

Helen, as Spike: A dragon friend with similarities of the formerly mentioned, and takes things seriously. She's mostly helper of Nate, but gets along with the rest of the main six just as fine.

Buzz lipman, as Rainbow dash: Often up for an adventure, holding up the element of loyalty. As a Pegasus, he dreams of joining the wondercolts as well. Speed is his top priority, so he's also a good mailpony/ racer. Cousin of Nate of course.

Cookie masterson, as rarity: He finds that one ponies trash can theoretically be his advantage. Cookie feels that everything has value. But just like in the ydkj canon, he treats the mane six as trash most of the time. Still got the element of generosity tho, yet rarely shows this to the guys and rarely seen in general.

Guy towers, as Applejack: The honesty element at the finest, this earth pony(and the only one of the entire six) works his days as a coach for every common sport, but none better than basketball. Knows everypony like the back of his hoof and wants everyone to be fair. He as acts the mane 6's brawn, ready to kick ass when at the ready!

Schmitty, as Fluttershy: He got the element of kindness, but its not to his kind. It rather comes from other creatures, like the quips he carries on his back everyday, everywhere, everytime. This Pegasus tends to avoid conflict, or at least getting involved. But he also has an angry side, and not afraid to show it when his limit's pushed.

Bob, as pinkie pie: The element of laughter, he is popular on equestria's main social media. He's the most positive out of the group, and whenever one gets down, he can use his unicorn magic to make funny memes to get others a good laugh. And yes, he's a unicorn.

[Redacted], as starlight glimmer: When he's introduced, which is earlier than the season 5 premiere, he has about the same first impressions as starlight; Controlling minds of the ponies of his town into being equal and creating a fake paradise, only for it to be ruined by the mane 6. He later reforms after making a deal with nate. Turns out, the former did his past actions because he despised cutie marks, seeing how they took his friends and family away from him to study their passions. [Redacted] has his cutie mark shortly after friending the mane 6. His specializes in Unicorn dark magic, like draining life from foes and resurecting the dead.

Rue Meringue(the name came from the jackbox wiki btw), hostess of roomerang, as Sunset shimmer: An earth pony and a previous student of Raul( The celestia in the au), she belived that even a earth pony with no talent could be special. When rejected behind the later's back, she more often goes to the human realm. One fucking movie later and she is reedemed after the mane 6 stop her from reaching her goals, which was to vanish all magic in equestria, including non earth ponies.

A look of discomfort and disdain crosses Lumine's visage the moment that sentence leaves Clay's lips. A feeling of disgust settles heavily in her chest and an acrid taste lays across her tongue, silence falls between the two of them as Lumine glowers at the thought Clay gave.

To make use of him and discard him. To make him a PAWN in her plans. That his life is her's to own and take.

How dare he think so thoughtlessly of her...How dare he think that she would do such a thing!

HOW DARE HE THINK SO LITTLE OF HIS OWN LIFE.

They spent their days traveling, it was the most peace she's experienced in her journey. Sure, they had moments where they fought and disagreed; moments where they were in tight situations...But she supposes, those are the memories she'll hold dearly the most when they have to part ways.

Yes.

She always thinks they'll part ways one day. Be it naturally as they drift apart, be it with age for she does not age as normal people do, or be it through disagreements and fights...But she has never thought of their parting to be in such a way. In a way where she'd use him as part of her schemes against Teyvat, against Celestia.

Lumine wants to reach out and grab Clay, but her hands remain at her side, curled into fists. Her breathes come uneven and shallow, eyes narrowing as she tried to erase the preposterous thought he gave from her mind.

The war she's shouldering, planning, fighting...Is it not because of the lives lost? Is it not because she wanted to gain JUSTICE for those who fell due to Celestia's whims? Is it not because of those she fought with five hundred years prior and to honor their sacrifice?

And here Clay is. Speaking as if his life isn't worth a single mora. As if it existed just for her to use and throw away.

Gritting her teeth, jaw tightening.

"I've no use for people who take their lives so lightly," Lumine seethes, "No use for those that so easily hands away their only possession that no one could own," she continues, "I thought that our time together was meant to be cherished and meant something...But clearly, it seems that you played me a FOOL..." Lumine says.

"To think you'd hand me your death wish." She lets out a incredulous laugh. No, not laugh. A single syllable -- HA -- though it comes out much akin to an indignant huff.

"I've no wish to spend time with someone who thinks their life is so expendable."

Time for the fighting to commence.

Shadow Lock looked at the crowd after that speech. They were dressed as villains and as things he does not recognize, but despite that they were doing as told. Ponies who were caught in the debris were being rescued, others were being defended from collateral damage. As for the group leading that onslaught, he saw that Stygian was among them. He saw this and figured it would be best to take it outside. So he shall wait out there and see if Stygian even makes it out.

Back with the group, Big Spike and Ocellus were taking care of the sides. With the bigger Spike’s girth as well as Ocellus’ experience pretending to be Rainbow Dash that one time, they were making sure nobody got to Stygian from the sides. Mina, dressed as Princess Luna, used her new magic to protect the rear. She’s tempted to move the moon, but didn’t want to cause Luna any trouble with them thinking she’s the one behind it. 

Sadly for the group, Gabby was the most powerful among the group and she has no clue how to use those powers. Little Spike is trying to coach her but it is tricky since the Griffon doesn’t have any knowledge of magic or Power Ponies. Smolder is mad because she’s basically useless being a Pink Dragon, especially when her thoughts turn towards a purple dragon. That left Stygian and Juliet taking the lead. Stygian is doing most of the lifting until confronted by someone dressed as Starswirl.

Stygian tried his best, but Starswirl was always more powerful than him. That’s when Juliet stepped up. “Hey Jack, do you mind if I take off my shirt?” “Jack? My name is...” the Starswirl cosplayer was saying as the Echidna  was taking off her jacket. When she proceeded to lift her shirt, a fist came out of it punching the Cosplayer in the face. It was Senator Armstrong, Stygian was confused. “What was that?”. Juliet turned to him and said “that is what we call a meme. One I kinda always wanted to do.” 

Stygian looks on as the Starswirl Cosplayer tries to fight Senator Armstrong but fails. “Shouldn’t we stop...” Juliet interrupts, “Making the mother of all omelets here, Stygian. Can't fret over every egg.” “What does that even mean?!?” “It means I’m out of ammo. So we better hope there aren't any more roadblocks heading towards us.” They finally made it out of the Panel Room when they came across their first Roadblock: Princess Celestia. And unlike the others, she was not a cosplayer.

“I had to open my big mouth!” Juliet said. Stygian looked on and theorized “I’m guessing the magic that gave those in costumes the attributes of their characters also created them from the fictional works.” Mina stepped up. “I got this.” Mina got in front of the rest and struck a pose. “Dear Sister, I am Princess Luna! You trapped me in the moon for a thousand years and since then I have returned! Now I shall have my rightful revenge!”

Most of the others look confused. Ocellus was the first to ask, “But didn’t Princess Luna...” Little Spike stopped her. “Don’t really think too hard about it. It’s just fanfiction.” Celestia and Mina begin a magical beam struggle. Mina looked to the others and said “go on without me! If you can stop that pony before I get sent to the moon it’ll be all worth it.” The others nodded in agreement and headed towards Shadow Lock’s location.

a sort of solemn smile overtakes his expression, as common as that expression is for them. they can't help but remain solemn, quiet, focused. they aren't sure what else to do half the time, body moving forward while the rest of him can't even begin to catch up. and he can't help but look up towards the sunset sky, watching the birds fly overhead. it was almost nostalgic, in a way, that they would find themselves having such conversations with someone who made them feel like a person again.

it made them question why the night sky no longer felt so daunting, as if they could finally stop looking up towards a heaven that will no longer listen to his silent screaming of demanding answers to something he never asked for. ( he had long since given up asking celestia, or any of the archons, why he got a vision. why he was able to use such gifts when people far greater could have, should have, and yet he always finds himself answered with a logical response from his own mind: there are people far worse than yourself, who have exactly what you don't want. )

he's silent for a while, thinking.

he remembers the day he had gotten his vision. he remembers the biting chill that came with knowing well that he had found himself in the throes of something that would be COVETED, knowing that he had a mission, or rather... believing that he was meant for greatness. such a childish belief.

these days, he just wants to see his mother again. these days, he wants to apologize for what he did. these days... he's just running from a fate he knows will catch up.

ah, he ever was the momma's boy. would she be proud of him for surviving when he doesn't want to? or would she ask for him to trade places with her in the beyond? or perhaps... would she disown him?

after all, his recklessness is the reason why she died. after all, his curiosity is the reason why he's stronger.

"Sorry," he softly intones after a good ten minutes, his smile failing to not be sad, almost bitter in his own reserved way. "I guess I don't really find many reasons to smile these days." he says honestly, turning his face down towards the ground. "In a way, the only reason why I do smile and laugh is because of you."

Not that Sonia considered asking him. Considering past instances of Akira's confusion when she utilized certain multi-syllable words, she wasn't certain she'd even get the answer she sought. Still, he hadn't needed to tell her: she could feel the heat that had risen to her cheeks, her nose, even the tips of her ears. Warmth that had spread to her chest and, if she could bring herself to admit it, lower still. Though it felt like a soft breeze in comparison to the heat that radiated off him: not out of embarrassment, but from the shower she'd clearly just interrupted. From the swaths of skin, gently reddened from the water's temperature and stretched over taut muscles, formed and honed from years of training and fighting. On the streets, for Seiji, for sheer survival.

The least she could do was respond with dignity. And try not to stare, when the only thing that kept him from being fully nude was the towel slung low around his waist. And she really, really needed to not focus on that towel: even with so much of him to take in, Sonia had a predisposition for curiosity. One that, she shamefully had to admit to herself, wondered just how he looked beneath it.

With a deep, steadying gasp, Sonia whirled around in the middle of Akira's living room so she'd face the wall instead of his still-wet, nearly-naked form, one hand reaching out to gesture to the key, complete with a Wander Rabbits keychain, that sat upon his low dining table. "You gave me a spare key!" She squeaked, a sound that a brave and confident princess rarely made, first needing to justify her entering his home unannounced. The how, before explaining the why. "And Naomasa-sensei asked me to deliver your assignments and notices from the school! He said he didn't trust Amanome-san to do it in an expedient fashion!"

That was the more polite, less crass version of it anyway. Naomasa-sensei, Akira and Seiji's homeroom teacher (and old friend, she'd now surmised) spent more time studying newspapers and gambling betting sheets than actually trying to teach his students anything. According to her own teacher, Yukizome-sensei, he didn't fully embrace mentoring young minds yet. According to Amanome, he simply wanted enough of a paycheck to feed, clothe, and shelter him, before spending the rest of it at pachinko parlors and in games with Class 78's Celestia Ludenberg. It was a beneficial arrangement, apparently: it could be counted as part of Celeste's studies, and she could use part of a teacher's salary to fund her elaborate lifestyle while in turn, Naomasa-sensei added something extra to his coffee most days.

It all seemed rather grim to Sonia, but if Akira wasn't concerned, she wouldn't push it. Not when she had more pressing issues to see to. In particular, how she now forced her hands to remain pressed against her folded arms and her thighs pressed together, hoping the physical action might force the image she'd just witnessed out of her mind.

Or at least into its deep recesses, when she was alone and in need of relief and release. Something she hadn't dared breach with Akira. She wasn't sure if he'd understand or even held an interest, and his comfort meant far more to her than her own desires.

"S-so, I said I would so you won't fall too far behind in your studies, with missing school again and such!" She stammered, nodding to show her certainty. Despite the fact she faced the wall, of course: it was well-intentioned. "But I'm sorry for interrupting and surprising you. I...I'll go!"

You gently flipped through the cushions, placemats, drawers, and even snuck underneath tables and his bed, still: nothing. The ethereal glow of your memory lens have yet to be found.

With your anemo vision, you swept the dust around the room. Nothing worth noting showed up. Almighty Shogun be bothered– you slip out quick prayers as you wished for your memory lens' safe return.

"AS I HAVE SAID, IT IS VERY MUCH UNLIKELY FOR YOU TO LEAVE ██ HERE." Kamisato Ayato spoke behind you out of the blue, making you flinch. Ghosts tend to move silently without any gravity to ground them– so seeing his face or lack thereof sent an unnecessary shiver down your spine. You stared at him, and the void stared back. "HAVE ███ TRIED ELSEWHERE?"

There's progress, but you can't understand him fully yet.

"No."

"BOLD NOW, ARE ██?" He lightly placed his fingers around your neck. "MAKING THE KAMISATO ESTATE THE STARTING POINT OF ████ SEARCH PARTY."

You've commune with the dead ever since you were a child. This light scare does nothing for you.

Kamisato Ayato's hand trailed from your neck down to your clavicle in a rather light-hearted manner. His eyes drooped down, closing slowly as a grunt echoed. He must be frowning right now.

His nonexistent assistance had been bothering you for a bit, but you didn't voice out any subtle complaints till now. You didn't expect him to be silent in the first place. It's rare for ghosts to find someone that can understand them.

Hi, hello! Thank you for this! It's simple but I hope you like it! I couldn't figure out which characters to use so I went with the characters from my novel (I hope you don't mind!). And since I like it, I might even tweak it a little and add it!

Celestia was not aware of where she was going. She just walked and walked and walked. Her classes had just finished and she did not feel like going home. Elle Rose was still at work and her twin brother Zeke had basketball practice.

She was walking on familiar routes, despite her wandering mind, she was still careful of where her feet were leading her. It was only until she began a slope up that she realized that she was heading towards her spot.

There were only a handful of people at the cliff so she had no problem finding a bench to sit on. She sighed as she sat down, removing her messenger bag from her body and laying it beside her. She shuffled through the bag, looking for her phone. Today was a busy day, one of the days where she would doubt why she was getting her Ph.D. It was no wonder she was spacing out.

"Come on, 'leste," she whispered to herself. "You started this. You end it."

She stayed by the cliff for a few more hours, she waited until the sunset. It was one of those darker nights and she was a little nervous if she was being honest to herself. She has not had the best experience walking alone lately. She could call for her chauffer but she was still not in the mood to be with people.

So she took her chances and walked.

When she arrived home, the guard on duty looked at her in surprise but said nothing as he opened the gate.

But as she was entering, she heard her name being called. She turned around and her eyes widened.

Heath.

It had been a while since she saw him. She was avoiding him. And now he was at her house and although she could simply have him shunned away, she stood frozen in place.

"Celestia."

It took her a while but she finally found her voice. "What are you doing here?" she asked.

Heath stayed silent.

She shook her head and began to head back inside, but Heath had held onto her arm. She looked at him, trying her best to give him an annoyed look on her face. Unfortunately, she was always bad at pretending.

"I'll have him escorted out, Ms. Celestia," the guard said.

Celestia shook her head. "No, it's alright." She snatched her arm away from the grip and said, "What do you want?"

Heath pursed his lips. "I dreamt about Celeste."

There it was. The pang in her heart whenever Heath mentioned her past life. "What does that have to do with me?"

"She...she...she told me she loved me."

Celestia closed her eyes and sighed. "She did love you, Heath. We all know that."

"That's the problem."

"How is that a problem?" She was getting frustrated now. "I distanced myself from you because it hurts knowing that you see me as Celeste when I am my own person now! You're an angel, Heath. You don't need to love anyone new. Continue to love Celeste for all I care." Yes, she did care.

"The problem is...she's letting go of me."

Celestia stayed silent. She tried to be quiet but the words just came out of her mouth. "She did a long time ago."

"No, I mean. She's letting go of me. She's allowing me to stop loving her."

"Celeste was a big part of your life. I know you can't stop loving her even if she did ask you to."

He looked down. "I think I've already let go of her. I think I did so a long time ago."

"Then why are you here?"

"I feel like I'm betraying her. I feel like, she's telling me to stop loving her because I'm betraying her."

Celestia shook her head. "Look, Heath. I don't know how to help you right now, okay? Just please go. I've got a lot to do tonight. So unless you wanna see any of my brothers show you the way out, you better leave."

"I'm scared, 'leste."

She glared at him. "You know you can't call me that anymore."

"I'm scared, Celestia," he corrected. "I'm scared of losing myself. I'm nothing without Celeste."

"Heath--"

"I'm scared because I love you."
